When Martin Luther espoused views that opposed the traditional beliefs of the Catholic Church, religious leaders asked him to recant. <BR>

Marc had to recant his statement when he found that many of the sources had been falsified. <BR>

The newspaper was forced to recant Marc's a published article. <BR>
<BR>

QUIXOTIC =  1. extremely chivalrous; 2. motivated by idealism that is imaginative but not really practical; 3. having an idealistic or romanticized view of life. <BR><BR>

Marc had a quixotic idea, but it was not completely far-fetched. <BR>

Frank was a quixotic man who always opened the door for women. <BR>

John's quixotic plan of the perfect way to propose to Elisabeth proved to be too difficult to execute.

- The rotund man was asked to play Santa Claus at the holiday party each year. <br/>
